Star Plus’ interesting concept pertaining to the unexplored relationship between cousins titled Nisha Aur Uske Cousins will soon be on air. This unique concept from Bodhi Tree Productions will replace Mahabharat and will take the 8.30 pmslot on Star Plus from 11 August.
We at Tellychakkar.com have been exclusively feeding our readers with information regarding the cast on the show. Joining the cast now will be veteran actress Anjuman Saxena and Soniya Shah. Anjuman is presently seen in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon-Ek Baar Phir as Geetanjali Tikkekar’s mother. Soniya has played the prominent role of Menka, Guman’s sister in Saraswatichandra.
As reported earlier, the three sons of V.M. Badola and Veena Mehta will be played by actors Jayant Rawal, Jagat Rawat and Vivek Mushran. Anjuman will play wife to Rawal’s character while Soniya will be seen as the wife of Jagat Rawat. We have earlier reported that Pubali Sanyal will play wife to Vivek Mushran, and mother to the lead girl Nisha (Aneri Wajani). Another interesting aspect will be that Anjuman and Soniya who happen to be the two bahus of the house will be shown as on-screen sisters on the show.
Also, new face to television, Purvi Mundada will play one of the parallel leads on the show. She will be one of Nisha’s cousin sisters. The girl will be the daughter of the eldest son and daughter-in-law in the family, essayed by Jayant Rawal and Anjuman.
When contacted, Anjuman confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am part of the show Nisha Aur Uske Cousins.”
Soniya Shah also confirmed her presence in the show.
Purvi has been a model and has done quite a lot of commercial ads. However, this will be her first stint on TV. The girl on her part said, “Yes, I play a very important role in the show, and will be seen as a parallel lead. We are not supposed to talk at length about our characters and the show as of now. All I can say is that this is a big show, which has a unique concept.”
As reported earlier, Heli Daruwala will also play one of Nisha’s cousin sisters.
Get ready for this entertaining youth-based show on Star Plus.
