As if one wasn’t enough, Balaji’s Kasamh Se is set for its second leap within a year.
This time all characters have grown older by five years. The leap is bound to bring some new twist to the tale.
A source says, “The new leap will bring interesting twists in the tale. Cracks will occur in Bani (Prachi Desai) and Jai’s (Ram Kapoor) relationship. One doesn’t have to think twice that it will be Jigyasa who’ll once again play the divisive force. Five years later, Jai finds Bani and Daksh (Karan Hukku) with a child. He is made to believe by Jigyasa that this child is the offspring of Daksh and Bani.”
Was there a need for this leap? “We felt that we needed to add some colour and flavour to the show. At times, such changes become necessary,” replied the source.
The buzz goes that Prachi Desai aka Bani wasn’t too pleased with the five year leap. However, when contacted Prachi rubbished such tales “I have absolutely no issues with the change in track. I’ve always enjoyed my character. Leaps or change in tracks are part n parcel of daily soaps.”
With a five-year leap, will Prachi portray an elderly look? The 20-year-old quips ‘It’s just a five-year leap. My hair will not turn grey. After all, Bani is just a mother of two tiny tots. When a grandmother like Prerna (Shweta Tiwari ), of Kasautii Zindagi Kay, can still look young, so why should Bani look old?”
Surprisingly, when asked about Bani’s age, the actress couldn’t come up with an answer. However, that’s a puzzle left for the viewers to solve. Trust Prachi’s ardent admirers to get this right.
