MUMBAI: Jasleen Matharu is a popular singer. She was also seen in reality shows like Bigg Boss. Apart from her work, she is also known for grabbing headlines for her equation with senior singer Anup Jalota. Their relationship is no less than complicated. It was during Bigg Boss 12 that the two entered the show as lovers but eventually claimed to be guru-shishya jodi. Fast forward to now, Jasleen and Anup shared a great bond, so much so, that the Bhajan singer had once revealed that he's on a hunt to find the Mr Right for the model-cum-singer. Well, it appears that he has fulfilled his wish now. As per Times Of India, Anup has played cupid between Jasleen Matharu and a Bhopal-based surgeon, whom she is in talks with virtually.
In her interview, Jasleen revealed that they are slowly but steadily taking it forward as they are not able to meet due to the lockdown. She added that the surgeon is currently undergoing divorce proceedings with his ex-wife. "Anupji had told me about this doctor, who separated from his wife last year. But, the matter couldn’t progress owing to the lockdown. However, rather than delaying it further, he introduced us virtually. We talk a lot and get along well," said the singer.

Upon being asked if the man questioned Jasleen about her alleged link-up with Anup, she said, "He has not mentioned it even once. Anyway, we don’t talk about each other’s past. He is yet to get a divorce and so, we are taking one day at a time. I just want to say that it’s my life and I am happy that Anupji is involved in it.”
Anup, on the other hand, expressed his elation and hoped that things work out between the two. He said, "Theirs is a cultured family and I have known them for five-six years. I am hopeful that things will work out between them, eventually.” He adds, “I had promised that I would do her kanyadaan and I hope to do it whenever Jasleen chooses to marry."
