Anupamaa: Adrija Roy shares her excitement to be part of the show and reveals she is nervous to play the character of Rahi - Exclusive

Anupama is one of the most successful shows on television and recently it made headlines as Alisha who was essaying the role of Rahi was replaced overnight and Adrija Roy was casted as the new Rahi. TellyChakkar got in touch with Adrija and asked her how she feels about bagging the role in the serial of Anupama and is she nervous to play the Rahi.

MUMBAI: Anupamaa is one of the most loved serials on television and is number one on the TRP charts, as the storyline is gripping and relatable.

One of the main reasons the show is so successful is because of the camaraderie and good bonding among the co-stars, which is seen behind the scenes of the serial.

These days the show is grabbing headlines as Alisha Parveen who essayed the role of Rahi was replaced overnight.

The actress took to social media and confirmed that she hadn’t quit the show but was replaced overnight and she wasn’t informed about it and the news was a shock for her too.

TellyChakkar was the first one to report that Adrija Roy was the one chosen to play the lead in the show and she replaced Alisha as Rahi.

Just a few days ago the photo shoot of Rahi and Prem’s love story circulated on social media and the pictures became viral.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Adrija and asked her how she feels about bagging the role in the serial of Anupama and is she nervous to play the Rahi.

How does it feel to be part of Anupamaa?

I feel grateful and lucky to be a part of the show, and I appreciate Rajan Shahi for giving me this opportunity since it would not have been possible without him. I am nervous and delighted to play Rahi, and I intend to give my all to this character.

Are you nervous to step into the character of Rahi mid-way?

I didn't have time to prepare for the role because I started filming for the show the next day after my casting was finalised. I just watched five episodes to learn more about the track and the character because I was given a brief to design Rahi’s graph in a specific style, which I aim to deliver.

Well, no doubt that the fans will take time to accept Adrija as Rahi but she would definitely make a place in the audience's heart as the fans like her as an actress.
