MUMBAI : Rajan Shahi is among the most well-known producers in the TV industry. Week after week, Rajan Shahi's shows from Anupamaa to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have dominated the TRP numbers. However, in addition to his shows, the well-known producer is renowned for being a "no-nonsense" person.

Lately there have been rumours that Gaurav Khanna who essays the role of Anuj in the show will be quitting the show. Reacting to the news, Rajan Shahi said, “Not at all”, clearing the air. A source revealed, “These reports are completely false. There is not even a shred of truth to them. Gaurav, as Anuj, will continue to be an integral part of the show. These rumors are entirely fabricated, as Gaurav is not leaving.”
In the current track of Anupama, Anuj is all set to marry Shruti, but the latter gets shot while saving Pari and Aadhya.
