Recently, in an interaction with a media portal Rupali revealed how actors get personal hate because the audience is unhappy with the characters and the storyline. Rupali mentioned, “They get on to your family, your child for being a character. It’s a character for God’s sake! When I see the hate comments and trolls, I have noticed that a majority of hate comments come from women and they push the male lead up.
With due respect, there is a fantastic male lead, fabulously written character and women are supposed to be crazy about them but you need to understand that you cannot bash a woman!”
Earlier too, Apara Mehta who played the role of Malti Devi in Anupamaa expressed the same thing in an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar.
She had shared how the audience comes with contrasting views and some of the social media users pass extreme personal and negative comments which need to be addressed.
She said, “The audience wants drama but do not like extreme negative characters. It is really questionable how the audience is taking the drama showcased in daily soaps so seriously! It is an artist’s moral responsibility to put out the best of what is expected from the assigned role.”
