Ashish Chowdhry to play the 'detective' Dev Anand on Colors?

Colors' upcoming detective series Dev Anand might rope in Ashish Chowdhry for the lead role.
Ashish Chowdhry
Bollywood biggie Ashish Chowdhry will in all likelihood return to TV fiction very soon!! Tellychakkar.com had earlier exclusively reported about Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez’ Peninsula Pictures planning a detective cum thriller show for Colors by the title, Dev Anand. News coming in is that Colors loyalist, Ashish Chowdhry who has been part of two reality shows on the channel, Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 will in all probability play the title role of the detective Dev Anand in the upcoming show on Colors. A credible source tells us, “A lot of big names from Bollywood and TV were considered for the titular role in the detective series. Ashish Chowdhry is presently in advanced talks with the channel and makers, and the actor holds a bright chance of bagging the role.” Ashish as we know, was last seen in a fiction soap in Zee TV’s Ek Mutthi Aasmaan wherein he was hugely successful. Dev Anand is expected to replace Naagin 2 at the weekend slot on Colors. The show is slated to go on floor in February, is what we get to hear. We buzzed Producers Nissar and Alind, but did not get through to them. We also dropped a text to Ashish but are yet to get any revert. We connected to the channel spokesperson, but received no revert. Do you think Ashish will cast his magical spell as the new-age detective on TV? Drop in your comments here...
