Barely six months after he made his acting debut, MTV VJ Ayushmann Khurrana has called it quits as an actor on television. Ayushmann will no longer be seen in the fiction on the small screen.
Says Ayushmann, “I’m not just quitting Ek Thi Rajkumari but you won’t me see me act in any fiction on television anymore. I shall now be working exclusively for MTV. My show Wassup Youngistan is now a daily. It’s not possible for me to do two dailies at a time. Besides, I have an exclusive contract with MTV and thus I had to quit Ek Thi Rajkumari.”

Though he has an exclusive contract with MTV, Ayushmann is eyeing greener pastures – films. “I’ve got a few offers but it’s too early to talk about them. You will see me as actor in the near future but at the moment I’m all occupied with Wassup Youngistan,” he informs.
So as the actor bids adieu to the small screen we only hope that like many of his contemporaries who were compelled to return to TV he too doesn’t have to eat humble pie.
