The show, which stars beloved television actors Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi, premiered on 16th June 2025 and has already received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers.
Avirat, known for his impactful performances in Criminal Justice Season 4 and Freedom at Midnight Season 2, takes on a new challenge with this show, stepping into the world of Indian television with a compelling role.
In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Avirat opened up about his character, the experience of working alongside leading stars, and what this opportunity means to him.
In the show, Avirat portrayes one of the neighbours living in the same building where Bhagyashree and Rishab—played by Shivangi and Harshad—settle after their marriage. His character is married to Khushboo Thakkar’s character, and they share a very quirky, realistic dynamic. How has your experience been working with Harshad Chopda?
Working with Harshad has been an absolute delight. He’s a maverick in the guise of a boy—effortlessly committed and always exuding positive energy on set. I recall a particularly intense scene we were rehearsing where I was experimenting with a subtle comedic beat. During the actual take, Harshad instinctively gave me space to play around with the moment, which ended up becoming a beautifully natural interaction. It was unplanned but magical—that’s the mark of a generous and intuitive co-actor.
And how has it been sharing screen space with Shivangi Joshi?
Shivangi is incredibly inspiring—not just for the audience but for her co-actors too. She’s warm, compassionate, and entirely devoted to her craft. Despite her status in the industry, there’s no air of royalty when she’s on set. She works with the same hunger and dedication as any actor would. Her transformation into Bhagyashree has been remarkable. It’s not just a performance—it’s lived-in, nuanced, and powerful.
My mother is a single working woman in the corporate world, and Shivangi’s portrayal resonates with me deeply. It’s not about evoking pity—it’s about portraying silent strength and grace under pressure, which is far more difficult. She captures that beautifully.
With Avirat Parekh joining the talented ensemble cast, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain promises not just powerful storytelling but also fresh and relatable characters. As the series continues to strike a chord with audiences, it’s clear that Avirat is a name to watch on the small screen.
