The popular Natraj Nritya Mahotsav is back in its second year on Bidaai. The Mahotsav sees the participation of the dancing talent across the country that competes with each other for the coveted title and walk away with the prize money. Though interestingly, it's always the protagonist, who is in desperate need of money, who wins the Mahotsav. Last year it was Ragini (Parul Chauhan) and this year in all probability it will be Sadhna (Sara Khan) who will win the coveted title, unless the makers have different plans.
Like last year, this year too, the channel tried to rope in Bollywood names to 'judge' the Mahotsav. Big names like Deepika Padukone and Juhi Chawla did the rumour rounds but the viewers will have to finally settle down with child-star-grown-too-soon Hansika Motwani! Last year dream-girl Hema Malini had judged the Mahotsav.
Informs a source, "Deepika, who is promoting Kartik Calling Kartik in Music ka Maha Muqqabla was apparently also approached to be a part of Bidaai. She had agreed too but things fell flat at the last minute and Hansika was roped in to replace her. It is heard that Deepika had date issues. The competition is yet to be shot but the two girls will try to sacrifice during the competition for each other. Hansika shot the sequence yesterday."
We sent a text message to producer Rajan Shahi who rubbished the rumour and said, "No, Hansika Motwani was the only choice."
