As contestant Sidharth Shukla ultimately won the show, after defeating Asim Riaz, thanks to the immense love and support from his fans, he also got mired in a controversy surrounding his big win. Now, months after the grand finale, the Bigg Boss 13 winner finally opens up on the controversy beating Asim.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, during a live chat, a fan asked Sidharth about the controversy around him winning the show, Asim losing, and also why it happened and who was giving heat to it. Replying to his fan, Sidharth Shukla said, "I really would not know, some really upset people must have said. But that’s all good and that doesn't make a difference.” As cool as he is, the Bigg Boss 13 winner mentioned to the fan that even he is clueless about who gave heat to it and added that some people might have said something. In a positive way, Sidharth also mentioned how nothing makes a difference now.
The Dil Se Dil Tak actor then continued, “I have been through the journey. There are some people who feel bad about it. Everybody has their section of people out there rooting and vouching for someone. So when the person they are rooting for does not win they come up with things like these. But they are completely baseless, but I know there are facts that go into this and once you know, it is fine.” Shukla spoke about how the claims made at him were completely baseless and mentioned how it’s those people who feel bad about your win, do not fancy the winner when it’s someone else they were not rooting for.
