MUMBAI: Salman Khan's Bigg Boss is one of the most popular reality shows. After entertaining audience with its previous seasons, the makers are back with a new season. Yes, currently, season 13 is on air and it stars many Bollywood and TV celebrities as participants. The show has a huge fan following. However, Bigg Boss is also known for controversies.
In this season, the makers of the show have kept a new theme wherein the contestants will reach finale in four weeks. During the premiere episode of BB, contestants were given 'Bed Friend Forever' wherein they were given their partners whom they will share their beds. This theme did not go down well with many, and the makers were slammed for the same on social media. In fact, Nand Kishore Gujjar, the BJP legislator has alleged in his letter that the "show was promoting obscenity and vulgarity and was unfit for family viewing."
This is not the first time that Bigg Boss has landed itself in trouble. In the past also it had become the topic of discussion for the wrong reasons.
Well, in season 4, Dolly Bindra was often seen getting involved in a fight with other housemates. Once she shocked everyone by fighting with Shweta Tiwari and leaving bruises on her arms. Bigg Boss punished Dolly and threw her out. There were also reports that Bigg Boss 4’s Sara Khan and Ali Merchant were paid Rs.50 lakh to get married on the show.
On the other hand, season 7 contestant Armaan Kohli was arrested from the sets of the show when British singer-actress Sofia Hayat filed a complaint against him for allegedly assaulting her during their stay in the show. The weirdest thing happened when Bigg Boss season 10’s Om Swami threw urine on contestants. Within no time, Bigg Boss evicted him for his indecent behaviour.
