Bye Twinkle…. Welcome Sanskar

She was the only one to be retained, but now even she has bid adieu! We are talking about none other than Narayani Shastri. As reported recently by the Tellychakkar.com almost the entire star cast of Sab TV's Twinkle Beauty Parlour was replaced except Narayani. But now, even this sultry actress has left the show, citing date problems, and has now taken up a new project (produced by Times Video) on DD1, Sanskar. This weekly show is slated to be telecast on 9 August. Unlike the strong character which she essayed in Twinkle…, Narayani, this time plays a very simple yet modern girl, Anupama. It's a story of two families, one headed by Pankaj Berry, whose family is corrupt and unprincipled while Alok Nath's family is very traditional and cultured. Anupama is Berry's daughter who unlike her father is a well mannered and virtous girl. She falls in love with Kabir Sadanand (Sameer) who is Alok Nath's eldest son. But as the story unwinds, owing to certain unavoidable circumstances, she ends up marrying his younger brother, played by Ujjwal Rana. The story is basically about Anupama's efforts to safeguard her in-laws from the evil deeds of her father and at the same time, put up with the torture inflicted by her in-laws, who hate her for being the daughter of their rival family. When asked about her shooting experience, the actor gets nostalgic, "For me it's like home coming. I will be working with the entire star cast of Piya ka Ghar, once again . It is a different role where there is nothing unrealistic about my character. Any girl will be able to relate to Anupama's trials and tribulations. Though, my role is of a gharelu, docile girl, I will be sporting hep clothes. So, you can say, I am not typecast as a plain Jane." With Piya Ka Ghar, Narayani became a household name. Now with Sanskar, let's see how far she gets?
