MUMBAI: Actor-cum-director Swati Semwal is busy working on her new short film.  As reported by us, Swati has roped in TV actors Pooja Gor and Karan Wahi for one of her short films based on postpartum depression.

TellyChakkar has another update for its readers!

Swati has again signed Pooja for another short film. Joining her will be the famous casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

The short film is called as Kirdar and Mukesh will be seen playing the role of a theatre artiste. Pooja will portray his wife who will be very supportive to her husband.

Channel V’s The Serial fame Swati confirmed the news and shared, “It is a fresh concept that viewers will look forward to. Mukesh and Pooja both fit into the characters very well. Since I wanted someone who is raw and not a model like figure, I thought to have Mukesh on board. Talking of Pooja, I think she understands characters very well. The film is shot and will be showcased at the festivals.”

Pooja confirmed being a part of the project while Mukesh remained unavailable to comment.

Mukesh has earlier acted in many films namely Rang De Basanti, Kaminey, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 and others. Pooja will soon make her TV comeback with Sony TV’s upcoming cop-based show.
