Samir Sharma is gung-ho about his upcoming show on Life OK, Chabbis Barah produced by Sphere Origins where he essays the role of a scientist.
Talking about the show, Samir tells Tellychakkar.com, “I cannot reveal anything as we are under a gag order. All I can say is that the show is a fictional account of a terrorist attack. It is not a copy of the tragedy of 9/11, but we might have borrowed elements from it.”

Ask him if the GEC audience which prefers family drama will accept a thriller and he says, “I am not equipped to talk on these things. Having said this, if we don’t push the envelope how will content ever mature in India? Plus terrorism is a burning issue in India and Mumbai city where the show is based was the victim of the biggest terrorist attacks in the country, be it in 1993 or 26/11.”
Samir, who has always attempted different roles, be it Nitin in Dil Kya Chahtha Hai on Star One or the negative Brij in Imagine’s Jyoti says, “These roles have now spoiled me and I cannot do anything run-of-the mill. It is easier to do such stuff but my mind and body just does not work in favour of this. Chabbis Barah is something out-of-the box.”
Samir was also seen in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki on Sahara One and Geet Hui Sabse Parayi on Star One, and was also seen in an episodic of Star Plus’ Teri Meri Love Stories.
Samir, we wish you all the best for Chabbis Barah.
