Chandragupta Maurya team surprises Manish Wadhwa on his birthday

Manish Wadhwa get ready…it’s time for some birthday bumps. No bahanas pls…, a birthday cannot be called a birthday without bumps. Okay…relax, we are just kidding. Well, it is Chanakya’s (Manish played the character in Imagine “shut down” TV’s Chandragupta Maurya) birthday today (23 April 2012). And guess what? He was in for a sweet surprise when the entire team of Maurya knocked on his door at 12 in the midnight yesterday to wish him a very happy birthday. “Everyone came in with a cake and gifts. They stayed till the wee hours of the morning and had a lot of fun. They put cake all over my face. It was great to have them at home. It was the best surprise that I have received till date on my b’day,” shares Manish with Tellychakkar.com. After a night filled with exuberance, the actor, in the morning, headed to Kandivli, Mumbai, to meet his parents. “My parents are very dear to me hence I always feel the need to take their blessings.” So what plans for the evening? “I don’t know but I am sure that the Maurya team has something in place. When people avoid you on your birthday, then you know something is cooking,” smiles Manish. And talking about gifts, he says, “My biggest gift was the surprise last night. I have also received a lovely watch from my dear friend.
