Charu Asopa opens up about quitting show Kaisa Hai Yeh Rishta Anjana and bonding with daughter Ziana

MUMBAI : Charu Asopa is a well known Television personality. She has been part of many Tv shows like Jiji Maa, Baalveer, Mere Angne Mein and many more. She was recently in the news for her separation with Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajiv Sen. The actress who recently made her comeback on the small screen with the show Kaisa Hai Yeh Rishta Anjana.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Charu Asopa opens up about quitting the show and her daughter Ziana. 

It is not an easy decision to quit a show. Was it a difficult choice for you too?

Yes of course! It wasn't an easy decision. It took me 6 months to make up my mind. I had given the notice 6 months ago too, but somewhere I felt I would manage and I must say, the production house supported me a lot. But finally, I decided to give my time to Ziana as we all know daily soaps are quite demanding. You have to shoot for 12 hours daily. Sometimes, we have telecast issue, or the script comes late on set, or an emergency shot that you have to give. But I am very thankful to my production house as they always managed according to my schedule.

What’s next in line? 

My focus would be on my YouTube channel and maybe later, I will try my luck on OTT or some weekend show, as it is not much time consuming. I am open to do Ads shoots too. 

Ziana has started school now. How do you feel?

Ziana's school has started in fact in June. Her nursery class will start. I still remember her first day of school. It was very important and emotional day of my life. I can't express in words. I was overwhelmed by seeing her going to the school.

How did your family react to your decision?

Yes, the family was very much concerned about how will I manage the finance, but I had told them that God has been kind till date. He has helped me and I am sure in future, he will be with us.
