MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is currently one of the most popular TV serials. With its intriguing tale and beautiful performances of the cast, the show has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the television screens. 

The show stars Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the lead roles of Naira and Kartik respectively and their on-screen chemistry is immensely popular among viewers. 

The character of Kartik is loved by one and all and has become a household name and Mohsin Khan has become one of the topmost actors of television. 

But before Mohsin came into the picture, there were few actors who was offered the role of Kartik but they rejected it for some or the other reasons.

Check out the list of the actors who refused to play the role of Kartik: 

1 Avinash Mukherjee

Since Avinash had become very popular with the serial Balika Vadhu the makers of YRKKH had offered him the role of Kartik, but he refused it, reason is best known to him. 

2. Karan Tacker

When Karan was offered the role, he didn’t take it up as he wanted to take a break from Television post his stint in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. 

3. Shashank Vyas

Shashank was also offered the role of Kartik but then the makers thought that he didn’t fit the bill and that how he couldn’t be a part of the serial 

4. Karan Wahi

Karan Wahi too was almost finalized for the role of Kartik, but then last moment what happened it still unknown and he opt-out from playing the character. 

5. Zain Imam

The makers had Zain Imam in their mind for the role of Kartik, but then since Zain was busy with his other projects, he couldn’t take up the role and had to deny it. 

Well, in the end, the role was bagged by Mohsin Khan and the fans feel he is the perfect choice for the role and no one could do justice to Kartik the way she did. 

Fans have also said that today they can't see anybody’s chemistry as Naira and Kartik the way Mohsin and Shivangi’s chemistry. 

No doubt that it’s a big loss for these actors and it’s a lifetime role that they missed out on!
