Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya Actress Brinda Dahal OPENS up on being the youngest actor on set: Everyone pampers me a lot, and I love it

MUMBAI: It’s said that ‘Youth is the future of the country.’ As we celebrate International Youth Day today, young actress Brinda Dahal, who plays the lead role of Vaishnavi in Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, shares her thoughts on Youth Day, her journey, and more.

Brinda Dahal, a 16-year-old who is among the youngest actresses on Indian television playing a lead role, shared, "I don’t have any youth idols because I strive to be someone’s idol myself. I am the youngest actor on the set and I love it. Everyone pampers me a lot, always reminding me to eat properly and taking great care of me. Recently, when I wasn’t feeling well, everyone was concerned and made sure I had healthy food."

She added, “I have many seniors on the set, including Jaya ma'am and Abha ji, who also pamper me, help me during tough times, and correct my mistakes. They constantly check on my comfort and teach me valuable lessons. One of the most important lessons they've taught me is to never raise your voice, always speak politely, remain down-to-earth, and maintain the same humble personality regardless of where life takes you."

Brinda started her journey in the entertainment industry as a participant in DID and made her debut with Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya. Opening about her journey, Brinda shared, "From DID to Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, my journey has been amazing. I faced many ups and downs. After DID, I went to my village and thought about continuing my passion and making it my profession. Then I came back, started giving auditions, and eventually got the show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya."

“I believe you should never count your ups and downs; instead, constantly work and focus on your goal without losing courage. Believe in yourself, never dwell on your worst situations, and always work on improving them. Always try and hope for the best,” she concluded.

Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya follows Vaishnavi (Brinda Dahal), an orphan who reveres Chhathi Maiyya (portrayed by Devoleena Bhattacharjee) as her mother. The show centers on the devotion to Chhathi Maiyya, who protects and guides her worshippers through life, and celebrates the triumph of good over evil.
