Choti Bahu on Zee TV

A new family drama titled Choti Bahu will tentatively be on air from the first week of September. Produced by DJ Creations Choti Bahu will be telecast in the afternoon time slot on Zee. As the name suggests, the story is based on the youngest daughter-in-law of the family. Rubina who plays the lead will make her TV debut with this show. Rita Bhaduri , Rajeev Verma, Gopi Desai and Sampa Sagar are part of the ensemble cast. The male lead is not finalised yet but all the young roles will be played by newcomers. Veteran actor Rajeev Verma said, “I am playing the role of a pujari who earns his livelihood with petty offerings that are made to him in the temple. He has one adopted and one biological daughter. His adopted daughter is disliked by his mother as being a Brahmin she is anxious about the girl’s real caste. I think Gopi Desai will be playing the role of my mother. I have never essayed such a character before. It is a spiritual character who speaks pure Hindi.”
