IPL 2025 has begun and what a start it was! However, the major one was on Sunday which took place between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). Chennai Super Kings won the match with Noor Ahmad and Rachin Ravindra ending the game on a high note with the latter hitting a sixer.
However, that wasn’t the only highlight of the match. While Noor Ahmad and Rachin Ravindra of CSK pulled off their heroics, it was Vignesh Puthur from MI who put everyone in surprise and got a lot of praise, even MS Dhoni was one of the people who praised him and this was a big highlight. Yes, it was a dream-come-true moment for Vignesh too but the one question that stayed with everyone was – What were the two talking?
In a conversation with The Indian Express, Sreerag, a close friend of Vignesh, revealed what Dhoni and Vignesh talked about before Dhoni went back into the dugouts. Well, on Monday morning, when Sreerag called Vignesh, he asked, “Eddaaa, pulli entha da paranchu? (What did MS Dhoni say)”
Sreerag revealed, “Dhoni asked him how old is he and told Vignesh to keep doing the same things that have brought him to the IPL”
"They were clearly taken aback. At this moment, you need to stay true to your roots and that's what I told them. We have seen what quick fame and money could do to cricketers. We saw it with Vinod Kambli then and now we are seeing it with Prithvi Shaw. This one game doesn't make him good or bad," Sreerag said.
