MUMBAI: TellyChakkar.com exclusively reported that Sony TV’s popular show Mere Dad Ki Dulhan is all set to bid adieu to the viewers. Well, we got in touch with actress Samentha Fernandes for a candid interview wherein she spoke at length about her bond with co-actor Varun Badola. She said, “I share a great rapport with him. We have this who-cracks-the-lamest-jokes battle wherein we both try to outsmart each other. Initially, we didn’t use to interact much because he is such a senior actor, but later the ice-broke and how! I remember, one day my phone rang and it read ‘Varun Badola’ calling and I was surprised and didn’t know why he would call me, and when I received the call, Varun Sir praised me for one of my scenes and he appreciated my skills. I acted sober on the call but I was literally jumping in joy after hanging up. It really boosted and motivated me as an actor. I believe that’s the moment where we came a little closer. He probably saw potential in me and started guiding me in scenes and that’s how from a mere co-actor he became a teacher.” 

She added, “I’ll really miss lunchtimes on the sets of Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. Varun Sir gets such amazing food. I always look forward to having lunch breaks. Gradually, Varun Sir kind of became a family member, and it has been a sheer pleasure to work with him and under his guidance.”
