The actress says that she had always imagined a simple marriage ceremony for her and is sticking to the plan. She adds, “I always wished to have a simple Vedic wedding. I have never been too keen on spending a lot of money on my big day in an attempt to make it grand. We aren’t doing too many things and even the functions and rituals are a bare minimum, which will take place on April 23, a day prior to the wedding.”
Aastha also had to alter her honeymoon plans. For now, it is in limbo, but she isn’t complaining. “We had thought of going to Italy, but I am not too keen owing to COVID-led restrictions. I am fine with the idea of not travelling amidst restrictions. We will go for our honeymoon when the situation is better and we can move freely,” she concludes.
The Kesari Nandan actress, who is a Lord Krishna devotee, had planned her wedding in Vrindavan, her favourite place in India. Unfortunately, that couldn’t materialise due to personal reasons. So, the bride brigade will be going to the groom’s hometown, Allahabad. Though the wedding plan had to be altered, the couple had figured a way to perform a special ritual in Vrindavan this month. Aastha shares, “Now that we can’t get married in Vrindavan, Aditya and I will visit the sacred place around Holi for Lord Krishna’s darshan. We will also offer our wedding card and rings. I want Krishna to bless us for our new journey together.”
