MUMBAI : The most difficult phase of Dalljiet Kaur's life has been since her ugly separation from Nikhil Patel. Although she initially kept her second husband's separation from the public eye, she recently disclosed that he has been denying their marriage and having an extramarital affair.

Heartbreak is a wound that takes a long time to heal. In Dalljiet's case, the wound is much deeper because the businessman from Kenya denied their Hindu marriage completely, saying that it was only important culturally and not legally binding.

Dalljiet posted a cryptic note on her Instagram account on June 14, 2024. She said that she trusted every word that Nikhil said. Furthermore, Dalljiet mentioned that Nikhil's elders joined hands in front of Dalljiet's old parents who believed in him. The actress went on to say how ashamed she is of Nikhil.

She wrote, "Believed every word that came out of you and your elders who joined hands to make my old parents believe in you. Nope need no sympathy by you guys I am born to fight. Truly very ashamed of him. That's that!"

Further in her note, Dalljiet highlighted the fact that there were kids involved on the other end. She hinted that she came in his promise of 'forever', which ended within eight months of separation. It is worth mentioning that Dalljiet didn't take her estranged husband Nikhil's name in her cryptic post.

She concluded her note by stating, "The fact that there were kids on the other end too. Who would have ever guessed, Bravo."

Dalljiet has been using social media to vent her hurt and anger. Nikhil made it quite evident in an interview with the popular news portal that their separation resulted in Dalljiet taking her son back to India. He said that although he had wed Dalljiet by Indian custom, the marriage was only cultural significance and had no legal impact.

In addition, Nikhil mentioned that they disagreed on values and experienced cultural conflicts. The businessman went on to say that Dalljiet struggled to adapt to his new way of life in Kenya. He continued by saying that Dalljiet's departure from Kenya signalled the end of their relationship and that he had stored her items safely. Despite Dalljiet's cryptic social media posts, he said, he had found peace and moved on.
