MUMBAI: Makers of Star Plus’ popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director’s Kut) will soon be coming up with a spin-off titled Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke with prominent faces of television including Shaheer Shaikh, Rhea Sharma, Ritvik Arora, and Kaveri Priyam in lead roles.
The press conference of the show was held early this morning, wherein the entire cast was revealed. Talking about casting the popular Shaheer in the show, producer Rajan Shahi said, ‘Shaheer was always the first choice for the project. Him getting finalized in show is a unique story, as we did not even audition him. The entire discussion was done over a phone call. Shaheer was in Indonesia when we decided to call and discuss with him about the show. The day he landed in Mumbai, he signed the project. We were really glad to have an actor like him on board, as he is one of the very diverse actors who haven’t been typecast even after doing mythological and periodical shows.’
