'Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji' actor Ansh Bagri attacked outside New Delhi home, sustains head injuries

Actor Ansh Bagri was beaten up by a group of men outside his house in Paschim Vihar on Saturday. The Actor returned to Delhi more than 10 days back after completing his shoot for 'Vellapanti'.

MUMBAI: Speaking to the Times of India, Ansh shared that the attack was planned by a contractor who was earlier given the charge of the construction of the house. However, in march, before the lockdown, he decided to leave the work after an argument regarding the payment dues. Ansh stays in his Delhi house with his mother and sister. 

Speaking to the news daily, he shared that the construction of the house is very close to his heart and he wanted the work to get started even while he was busy with shoots in Mumbai. His mother told him about the contractor and he said that if she thinks he is good then they can get the work started. However, last year around Diwali, he found that he was not completing the work as promised and in March he demanded more money. The Actor said that he will only pay the remaining amount after the work is completely finished.

Ansh further added that there was a lot of work pending and after having an argument, he decided to leave. Then, the lockdown happened and he was in Mumbai. The contractor would threaten his mother and sister by saying things like, 'ghar se uthwa lunga'. The Actor shared that he was scared and he filed a police complaint against him. They have a new contractor now. 

However, on Saturday a few men came to his house saying that they wanted to talk to him. He went outside, saw the contractor making a video and these men started gathering around him. He immediately called the police and thought that he should go back inside. However, as he turned, one man pushed him and around 8-10 people started beating him. Thankfully, the police came on time and rescued him. The Actor is left shocked by the incident. He mentioned that he have to returned to Mumbai next week and he is afraid for his mother and sister who are staying all by themselves.
