Dimple Jhangiani chooses Amrit Manthan over Qubool Hai

Dimple Jhangiani
Dimple Jhangiani, who has made a comeback in Life OK’s Amrit Manthan (Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut), seems to be a girl who values relationships. Why do we say that? Well… she chose to stick with Amrit Manthan even though she was offered the meaty role of Asad’s (Karan Singh Grover’s) love interest in Zee TV’s upcoming Qubool Hai. “I did not opt for Qubool Hai for when I discussed the above offer with producer Rajan Shahi he had told me that he would like if I would wait a while for they were planning a very strong track with my character in Amrit,” shared Dimple with Tellychakkar.com. Readers will remember that Nimrit (character played by Dimple) had been eased out of the show and Natasha (Ankita Sharma) had been introduced a while back in an attempt to lift the ratings. But later Dimple was re-instated in the scheme of things. When told that it has been a while since her character has made a comeback, but still we don’t see her much in action, she retorted, “These things take time na. You suddenly can’t just force a character back in the narrative. As of now there’s a lot of confusion as to who is the real Nimrit… me or Natasha? Everybody is asking me the same question and I am saying let me just be Dimple (laughs). On a more serious note, my character will really start making waves very soon.” She also has no problems on letting go a big show. “I have been around for years (Kuchh Is Tara and Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil) so know that projects come and go. In fact, I was approached by 4 Lions casting and creative team after they saw my western avatar in Rajan Shahi’s Star Plus telefilm for Teri Meri Love Stories. They made several calls but I clearly told them that my loyalty lies with Director’s Kut. Hence it would be wrong to meet and turn them down at the last moment. My work in Teri Meri Love Stories was also appreciated by BAG Telefilms as well who called and praised my work.”
