Dimple Jhangiani’s long waited exam result is out. Much to her surprise, the Bachelors of Mass Media student has obtained first class marks. These are truly joyous times for the young actress. Not long ago, she made her television debut with Balaji’s Kuch Is Tara. Soon she’ll be shaking her hips in the upcoming reality show Kabhie Yaar Kabhie Pyaar. The exam result just turns out to be the icing on the cake. Books were never her friends. Her task got even murkier once she started shooting. An elated Dimple says, “I have passed after studying on the sets. I feared that I would fail. I am shocked to know that I have not just passed but also scored first class. I don’t know my total marks as I haven’t yet got the time to check the mark sheet. I don’t even care about my marks as passing with first class is more than sufficient for me.” Adding further, she says, “Some of my friends, who attended classes regularly and studied more than me, have passed with second class marks. This result has indeed come as a pleasant surprise to me.” Scoring such marks for one who had lost interest in studies is indeed commendable. Says she, “I was doing an internship in a leading ad agency. It was then that I was exposed to the glam world and was in total awe of it. During this phase, I lost interest in studies. Now to have bagged such high marks is indeed surprising and overwhelming.” While Dimple has every right to be overjoyed, expect her mentor Ekta Kapoor too heave a sigh of relief as not long ago, the Balaji Creative Director faced flak from certain quarters for employing undergraduates.
