Dipika Samson and Shoaib Ibrahim are 'just good friends'

Dipika Samson (Simar) and Shoaib Ibrahim (Prem)
Often actors who work together get the tag of a couple because of their proximity and chemistry. Some - such as Sushant Singh Rajput-Ankita Lokhande of Pavitra Rishta, Nandish Sandhu-Rashmi Desai of Uttaran, Raqesh Vashisht-Riddhi Dogra of Maryada - actually do go on and get into a relationship in real life while or after romancing on screen. Coins are being tossed and guessing games are on in the acting and creative fraternity on whether Shoaib Ibrahim (Prem) and Dipika Samson (Simar) of Sasural Simar Ka on Colors have taken the leap of faith and gone in for a fairy tale romance. The reason: they are often seen cosying up to each other on the sets of the show. And in the business of television and entertainment, that is enough to get tongues wagging. So we at Tellychakkar.com decided to dig deeper and ask the two whether love is in the air between the two. We could not get any revert from Dipika, while we managed to get through to Sohaib. Before we go on to his response on his relationship with Dipika, let's get the facts straight. For one, Dipika has been married to pilot Raunak Mehta for three years now and Shoaib is single and not dating anyone. Raunak, apparently, flies a lot and he is often away from home for days on an end. Shoaib is pretty clear on what he and Dipika are all about. Says he: “We are just good friends. We understand each other and like each other’s company. We are also friends with others in the cast. In fact, Mataji (Jayati Bhatia) treats me like her real son. So we are all like a big happy family on the sets.” Sohaib, however, points out that he is not disturbed by the gossip and idle chatter linking him with Dipika. He emphasizes: “Rumours are meant to spread. People notice what they want to. I think when you are working with someone for 24x7, it is better to be a friend than an enemy." We will try following up with Dipika over the next few days to get her side of the story. In the meantime, let's just say for the record: it’s great to be friends. Friendship rules!!!
