Dishank Arora, who plays the negative lead in Life OK show Ek Boond Ishq (BBC Worldwide Productions), is not very happy with the growth of his character Aditya Singh Shekhawat in the show.
“When I had first signed the contract I was told that I would be the main negative, unfortunately that has not happened. The focus has not come on me. I don’t even know where my character is heading,” said Dishank.
He plays a very practical man who does what is needed to done without bothering about emotions.
So have you spoken to the creative team about your dissatisfaction? “Not yet but in the future if things don’t get better and if I do get a meatier role elsewhere, I might even think of taking a call of moving out from Ek Boond,” further averred the actor who has also done other shows such as Armanon ka Balidaan- Aarakshan, Love Ne Milla Di Jodi among others.
Here Dishank is more practical and accepts that if a show is rating good, the existing track will continue, “Hence I am not blaming anyone. But at the end of the day even I need creative satisfaction like anybody else and will take required steps for the same. Having said that I wish that Ek Boond Ishq continues to perform well.”
Remind him of the unfortunate way the first season of Punar Vivah (Zee TV), which he was a part of, ended and he says, “I rather not comment. It is better that you ask the production house (Shashi Sumeet Productions). All I will say is that everything has an end point.”
Well Dishank, hope you find your dream role soon!!!
