MUMBAI: Actress Kavitta Verma, known for her performances in films like Policegiri, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, R… Rajkumar, and the Bejoy Nambiar-directed web series Kaala, shares her thoughtful approach to the upcoming New Year.
For Kavitta, the end of the year is a time for reflection and gratitude. “New Year endings are for being thankful and at peace, to bring in the coming year with all positive vibes as always,” she says, emphasizing the importance of starting fresh with positivity and mindfulness.
When asked about her plans, she mentions finding balance between solitude and connection. “I shall spend some time with myself and some with people around me,” she explains, highlighting the significance of self-care and cherishing relationships.
Unlike many, Kavitta doesn’t believe in rigid New Year traditions. “I follow only one tradition, and that’s to let hope, love, prayers, and gratitude keep repeating within me,” she shares. For her, this is a time to reflect on the past year’s journey, assessing what to retain and what to let go of. “It’s a time to sit back and look back at how far I’ve come and what needs to be deducted and added to my life.”
When it comes to resolutions, Kavitta keeps it simple yet meaningful. “I only have one resolution, and that’s to stand by myself first. If you don’t take care of yourself, none shall,” she says. She also stresses that health is an ongoing process, not something that should be tied to New Year goals. However, with a smile, she admits, “I want to look more gorgeous than ever before, always.”
Looking ahead to 2025, Kavitta hopes for a journey filled with grace and gratitude. She believes that every day offers a chance for new beginnings. “It’s just a chapter in the calendar which will pass by, but you should always welcome new growth patterns and keep loving,” she concludes.
