Finally Balaji has shown the green signal for its ambitious project that would see Eijaz Khan playing the lead. Titled Khwahish, the show would be a story told against a muslim backdrop.
With this project, Balaji would target the Urdu speaking audiences in Dubai, Pakistan and India. It would be apt to mention here that Balaji serials are amongst the most watched in these regions.

Nivedita Basu, Creative Director of the show accepts, "The shoot of Khwahish has commenced today." Adds another creative on the show, "We will be completing some scenes in Mumbai and the rest of the show would be entirely shot in Dubai. Eijaz would be shooting his first sequence on the 17th of this month."
Eijaz Khan, one of the most popular actors in the industry today, plays the central character of Kabir Khan who is the son of a business tycoon in Dubai. Paired opposite him is a ravishing newcomer Priya Bhatheja, who plays Aafren Hussain, a law student in the show. In a turn of events, Aafreen has to shoulder family responsibility early and lands up in a job with Kabir Khan. The narrative soaked in dramatic events (the trademark of Balaji shows), would be a story that promises a lot to watch for.
Eijaz on his part maintains, "I can't talk about the show since I have not shot for it at the moment. For me things start the day I will shoot, till then it will be untimely to talk about it."
Making programmes specifically for audiences abroad seems to be a new trend that is catching up with our producers. Earlier it was B.A.G films that is doing a show for the audiences abroad. Does it sound the coming-in of a new age programming in tellydom? We guess it does!
