Raakesh Paswan, Writer turned Producer has usually dealt with sensitive subjects that spread a message, be it with Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo or Afsar Bitiya. The Writer who excels in giving a good dose of family drama and humour mixed with a social message is gearing up for the launch of his next show, Ek Ghar Banaunga on Star Plus. The show is slated to launch on 29 April 2013 at the 6.30 PM slot, Monday to Friday, and will be produced under the banner of Village Boy Productions.
Talking about the concept of the show, Producer Raakesh Paswan told Tellychakkar.com, “The show is about the journey of a boy from being a son-in-law to a son. This is a very today’s issue wherein parents who have only daughters and no son to shoulder their responsibility when they are aged face. Ek Ghar Banaunga deals with the story of one such boy who balances it out post marriage, to earn a name of being a good son as well as son-in-law.”
Elaborating on the subject, Paswan states, “Every woman of today who is married will relate to this story. A boy can get good advices on how to be a good son, brother and even a husband. But nobody will train him to be a good son-in-law. If at all a boy after marriage leans more towards his wife’s family, he is seen otherwise by society. Our show deals with the way in which the boy and girl tackle this problem and lead a balanced life wherein they become pillars of support to both the bride and the groom’s families.”
Ishita Dutta, sister of Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta and Rahul Sharma will play the leads.
Talking about his leads, Paswan avers, “The girl Poonam belongs to a service class family; she is well-educated and has a sophisticated outlook. The boy Akash is from a business class family, and is less educated when compared to the girl.”
