MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor has followed brother Tusshar Kapoor's footsteps and opted for surrogacy. She became a mother to a baby boy. Ekta’s baby was born on January 27th and is perfectly healthy. The producer will bring the baby home soon. Congratulations are in order for the Kapoors, as the family welcomes the cute little member.
Ekta is very close to Tusshar and his son Laksshya. She is often snapped with the child. Years of babysitting her nephew seem to have inspired her to have a baby of her own.

Tusshar became a single dad through surrogacy in the year 2016 and even inspired Karan Johar to do the same. Ekta joins the powerful group of single mothers in Bollywood.
Ekta has always spoken about not getting married, but she was open to the idea of being a mother after Laksshya was born. She had said that she would opt for motherhood after she knew she was ready for it and all the responsibility that comes with it.
