MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor is a well-known name in television world. The producer has backed a number of projects and some of the shows went on to become hit on the small screen.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Ekta opened up on facing sexism in the industry and rumors regarding her having temper issues on the sets. Ekta said that there has been a history of male producers, directors on the sets who abuse constantly and are constantly losing their temper. She mentioned that she used to be assertive and further revealed that she was presented like a freak of nature because of that.
Speaking about facing sexism, she said that she has been told by the people to use her dad, Jeetendra’s name for her company instead of her mom as he is more popular. She added that she faced sexism to the point that not taking instructions from a woman was almost mandate apart from being constantly bitched about.
