Ekta Kapoor ready with two new shows

Even before Kaisa ye Pyar Hai has seen the light of day on Sony, Queen of Soaps is rolling up her sleeves on two new shows. Balaji Telefilms is indeed a factory of soaps. The production house will have four shows on air on various channels in the first half of 2005. "After Kkavyanjali (Star Plus) and Kaisa ye Pyar Hai (Sony), I am coming up with two new shows, one each on Zee and MTV," informs Ekta. She continues, "The Zee show is a story of three sisters driven by money, love and ambition. Down the line, a man comes in the lives of two sisters and there is a conflict. Four characters form the main story. The MTV show is the story of a guy from a middle-class home, adopted by a rich affluent family- an strata family that's a typical Page 3 family." This will be Balaji's second foray into fiction programming for MTV, after Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi. Both shows are likely to be launched in the second half of May. Neither of them has been titled as yet, nor has the casting process begun. That the name of both shows will begin with K is a foregone conclusion!
