Ekta’s protégés, Rajeev and Prachi, to act in a film

What their mentor Ekta Kapoor couldn’t do on television, a rather new producer has succeeded in doing it. Kishan Chaudhary of Ikkon Films India Pvt. Ltd. is all set to bring together the two of the most admired faces of Indian Television – Prachi Desai and Rajeev Khandelwal. This is for the first time the two will be seen together in a children-based film. Our source informs, “The film is tentatively titled Joker. It focuses on a child who is terminally ill. Directed by Vikram Tuli, the film is about a father who raises his son single handedly after the death of his wife. Rajeev plays the role of the doting father who lives to fulfill all his son’s wishes. He is in for a rude shock when he comes to know his son is terminally ill and he vows to keep his son happy at any cost. Prachi plays Rajeev’s close friend and the child wants his father to marry her. The entire shoot will take place in New Zealand and is being shot by cinematographer Alphonse Roy. The movie also stars Atul Parchure.” It’s been rumoured that Khandelwal will commence the shoot of season 2 of Sach ka Saamna after his return from New Zealand. The movie is expected to hit the theatres sometime in July. Where Khandelwal confirmed the news, Prachi Desai’s mother told us the actress was busy.
