MUMBAI : Anupamaa is ruling the screens and winning everyone’s hearts. The plot lately has been about Adhik and Pakhi getting married and the issues that followed. Previously, Anupama overhears Pakhi talking to Barkha’s friends, and shamelessly revealing her dream of becoming rich like her mother and using her mother as a shortcut to achieve it. Anupama gets ashamed that her daughter has such a low standard of thinking and is trying to make it big by using her name and fame.
Adhik Mehta plays the role of Adhik and entered the show a while back. He was playing a grey-shade character initially but is now gradually turning positive. He has previously worked in television shows Bepannah Pyaar and Choti Sarrdarrni.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with Adhik and got to know interesting insights about the show and the track.
There have been mixed reactions towards the track about you and Pakhi getting married and how the whole matter went down. What are your thoughts?
“If I talk about the real world, then I am not accepting this and neither will anyone, especially my parents. Talking about the show, I think to get people hooked on the show and to make the plot more interesting, we have to take measures. Currently, the track is going well. I agree that people are having mixed reactions towards me and my character too.”

Your character is being highlighted a lot lately in the current track. What do you have to say about your character and what more can the audience expect?
“I am very excited that I have been performing throughout ever since my entry in the show even though I was a grey shade character who people did not like much. I agree that people want that everyone should be positive and accepting, but it does not work like that in daily soap. If you won’t have any grey shade, then it won’t be interesting. My character has seen a drastic change from playing a grey shade character initially and then now being a positive one.”
Do you think the current track of you and Pakhi getting married is setting a bad example for the younger generation out there?
“It depends on how the people take it. I feel the makers make sure that these are fictional characters and stories, and these are not to be taken seriously. People have to be intelligent enough that we are showing this just for their entertainment. This is not a biopic or a real-life story that you need to follow the character. If people wish to take something from the show, they should take inspiration and lessons from Anupama. She is the epitome of truth and honesty. I wish for every girl to be hard-working and independent like her. This is the takeaway I wish for the audience and not that two young kids eloped and got married.”
