MUMBAI: Sony TV has always had an amazing lineup of shows that have managed to entertain viewers.
The channel has launched several shows in the past that have proved to be huge hits among the audience.
With shows like Kaamnaa and Dhadkan Zindaggii Ki, the channel is already managing to entertain viewers.
The channel recently launched two brand new shows: Dosti Anokhi and Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye.
Dosti Anokhi is quite a heartwarming TV show with a unique concept.
The show stars Ishmeet Kohli, Rajendra Gupta, Sushmita Mukherjee, Naman Arora, Subir Rana, Priyamvada Sahay, and Sahil Phull among others.
Akshay Verma plays a pivotal role in the show.
TellyChakkar got into an exclusive chat with Akshay, who spoke at length about his character and much more.

Dosti Anokhi is one such show that is far away from the regular saas-bahu drama. What new can the viewers expect from this show as per your views?
Ranjita Sharma is a very good writer. She has always tried to get something fresh for the viewers. This time too, the viewers get to see something new from the regular saas-bahu drama in Dosti Anokhi. The team and production are very good. Our creatives are also amazing. They are always there for us.
Tell us about your experience so far working with the show's star cast so far.
My experience with the co-stars is superb. I have seen Rajendra Gupta and Sushmita ji in my childhood on television. When I met them during the look test, my first reaction to Sushmita ji was, "Oh, Sweety" and she laughed. I requested her to say this line and she acknowledged my request. The lead girl Ishmeet is really good and very humble. The actor who plays the character of Kashi is also very good. I have so far only performed scenes with them and they all are good.
Anything else you would like to mention about the show and the character.
The most interesting thing that happened while shooting was that I had my first scene with Rajendra ji and Sushmita ji. The scene was quite intense and was a high voltage drama. I hold different respect for them, not just as an actor but also as a viewer. The viewers will get to see the demand of the scene once it is unfolded in the next few episodes. That scene was fun to do as Mahendra but not as Akshay Verma.
Dosti Anokhi hit the small screens from 7th February onwards.
