He further said that at times, he helps the star cast of the serial to speak the language as now, he has become a pro at it.
Athar also spoke about his shift from doing positive to negative roles. The actor said that in the initial days of his career, he used to play only positive characters, but slowly, he began to do negative characters. He realized that playing grey characters is challenging and has variations that make it satisfying to play the role.
He further said that he acts through his eyes and that helps a lot in bagging a negative role.
He added, "When you have something exciting to do, one always looks forward to go on set and shoot. I also changed the way I look. I was quite skinny in my earlier days and then worked hard on myself and built my body up and grew a beard. I started to look mature, and that’s when things started to change for me as an actor."
