We got in touch with Swati Rajput to know about her reason to agree to the show, her character and more:
Tell us something about your character in the show ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’?
Dia is well educated, well-read, confident, independent woman, who is very much comfortable in her skin colour despite the fact she has been judged all her life because of her complexion. She ignores the judgements passed on by others and lives her life in her way and has been fighting discrimination. She believes that “Achievement has no colour”. She respects her elders and always help the ones in need.
Tell us about the various preparations that you have done for your character in the show?
As an artist, I always start working on the backstory of the character. It’s important to understand the who, what, where, why of the character. I believe that’s what brings flesh and bones to the character. I would start it with the easiest question “where was I born”
What is in store for the audience from the show?
Ye Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar is the journey of Dia, who is dark-complexioned and fight with society. It's an Inspiring show with a meaningful message that one should never judge anyone based on their skin colour. After all we humans are vulnerable and deal with some kind of emotions.
Tell us about your look/costumes for this show?
Dia loves wearing Indian outfits also she is proud of her long hair as for her it represents her strength.
How do you feel working with Star Plus and on their new show ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’?
Star Plus is the most popular Hindi Entertainment Television Channel which creates content that inspires people in some or another way and I’m glad that I’m leading a show with such a strong message on such a big platform.
