MUMBAI: Actress Shubhaavi Choksey, who’s popular for her role as Mohini Basu in the hit TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, opens up about how she’ll be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi this time amidst the pandemic. Shubhaavi, who had been bringing Ganesh idol at her home for the past three years told us, “They say that you should get Ganesh Ji home for either 3,5, or 7 years and so on. We have completed our 3 years but we do have the wish to continue. Hopefully next year onwards again .. fingers crossed.”

When asked about how she’ll be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at home this time, she said, “My father always told me that whenever you pray it should be with your heart and soul, so I will do the morning aarti and evening aarti, make saatvik khana and prasad.”
Sharing her experience of bringing Ganesh idol at home for the first time, she said, “I had heard from friends that the feeling is different when you get Ganeshji to your home but I experienced it for the first time when he blessed us with his presence 3 years ago. My son started crying the night before the visarjan saying he will miss him. Harshal and I too had tears when we were doing the visarjan. We were eagerly waiting for the coming year more than ever.
