We rang the youngest Bedi of the house, Yug Bedi aka Shashwat Tripathi to know about his reason for agreeing upon the show, his character and more. You would need a pen and book for his noteworthy answers, check it out:
What made you say yes to the character to Yug?
When I was asked to do this character, I was told that the show is based on the concept where the kids are leaving their parents behind. I have been spectating this kind of story in reality, in my society. The parents are living in my society and their kids are in the USA, the uncle passed away due to COVID and aunty was still empathising and told us that they cannot come as they are stuck there. When I came back to Mumbai and I couldn't see uncle so I asked my roommate and he told me that he passed away and his kids didn't even come. I used to always greet them and help them in all possible ways but this broke my heart. Just after this incident, I got called for the show and It got me to realise that I am not that bad a son but I do avoid my parent's calls at times. Though there must be times when it would be an honest mistake but I still do that. It did teach me that I shouldn't be like this, but this did add to my nature. This made me sign the show and I am hopeful that this would be a big hit.
What are the similarities between Yug and Shashwat?
The only similarity that both would have is his strive for his career, both of them want to become successful actors and their energy match. But apart from that Shashwat and Yug are not similar at all. Shashwat is a simple guy but Yug is really selfish, all he wants is good things for himself. Shashwat is always beside his family while Yug is only interested in his profit. So yes, we are pole opposites.
With the storyline, are you ready for Trolls that have already been foreseen?
I am not really affected by the trolls, my character is yet to be unveiled. Yug is someone who is unexplored, he hasn't felt any responsibility his father and brothers are there to save him. This will be the first time he is seeing all the problems so yes, there is a long way for Yug to explore.
Currently, in the show, Swaran and Kanwal's friends throw a party for their 30th anniversary, amid the celebration, Vikram's call ruins Swaran's mood and shatters all her trust in her sons as he reveals that he had sent the broker home to sell Swaran Ghar and they don't have a single penny to help for Dad's recovery, Nakul isn't calling them to America instead he suggests that they must sell the house. A special friend is invited to the party, Ajit, his entry makes Swaran remember the past days and Kanwal feels she would be safe with him if he passes away soon.
