MUMBAI : Colors TV is set to launch a new show titled Dharam Patni. The show stars Fahmaan Khan and Kritika Singh in the lead along with Akash Jagga, Gurpreet Bedi, Ashish Trivedi, Vijhay Badlaani, and Utkarsha Naik. The show is produced by Balaji Telefilms. The show is set to revolve around two people of different personalities who belong to different spheres of society but are bound by fate.

Kritika Yadav plays the role of Pratiksha in the upcoming show Dharampatni.

Kritika made her acting debut in a Tamil comedy film, Rayar Parambarai, and the same year she appeared in the show, Aapki Nazaron Ne Samjha in the role of Charmi.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor with to talk about the new show, her character, and more.

The promo has gotten a lot of love, when we talk about fan reactions, how has that been?

The reaction has been really nice, but they are very confused about what is actually happening and we want that confusion to continue because we want people to watch our show.

The feedback from fans can be sometimes good and it can sometimes be bad, how do you personally take that feedback, so you let it affect you?

It does affect me, but I do take it with a pinch of salt, because there are a lot of people who make positive comments and there are a lot of people who make bad comments, and I feel like, it should affect you because you know what you are and what your worth is, so listen to things but take it with a pinch of salt.

When choosing a role, how much effort do you put in to make sure that it is not along the similar lines as your previous role or for the fear of being stereotyped? 

I have never thought of being stereotyped like that, and of course, if I am playing a positive character and the audience like it, they would want to see me in something similar but once I play a different character, they might like that also, so it’s fine, now I am playing the role Pratiksha, they’ll like me as her and when I do something else, they might be like then as well.
