MUMBAI: Rajveer Singh is currently a part of Qurbaan Hua on Zee TV and he has impressed the fans in a short span of time.
He lad has become the eye candy of many with his gifted acting skills and charming looks. Playing the role of Neel in the show, his chemistry with co-actress Pratibha Ranta stands out. Apart from that, Rajveer, in his humble demeanour, spoke to Tellychakkar.com and shared his views about the show, his journey, his interest in farming and fan admiration that he receives among many other things.

You are a visual delight on television. Tell us more about your favourite fan moments?
Due to the pandemic I did not have fan interaction, so I don’t remember anything recently whether it’s outdoors like Goa, Navsari , whatever interaction is there it is through social media, some people appreciate sweet gestures.
Was there nervousness while stepping into Karan Jotwani’s shoes?
I don’t know Karan personally, but I had to grab the opportunity when it was available.
I think Karan did 70 episodes and after that I did more than 300 episodes so I have worked more than him. Everybody says that I replaced Karan but I did not replace Karan. I had an opportunity that I grabbed, and I was not nervous because for me it was my first episode. When it was my first episode, my mindset was this is serials first episode and the beginning of new character, and everything changed from there. Even they were afraid how will I do but I did not take pressure of those 70 episodes, it is rare that it works when you get replaced, and audience liked it.
How do you relate the character of Neel in reel and real life?
There is no resemblance of Neel in my real life , there is only one thing that we both are short tempered but it’s become less other than that Neel is romantic and I am not, he is practical and I am not, so there is nothing relatable between us which I could learn and take home , he is in love with one girl who is his priority and others are behind it and for me it’s the other way round.
You were a farmer so are you still into farming?
No, my dad was in army and after his retirement we came to Delhi , first it was a joint family so we used to help each other with stuff, we’ve done typical farming but now the situation is mordern, first you needed the whole family to cut the crops but now it’s not that, a machine can cut the same in 10 minutes, so the labour has decreased so much. Farming has also developed, since we’ve come to Bombay we don’t do it but yes we do visit farms so times, and we are attached to it so it feels nice to go there, and recently you are getting everything organic on one phone call.
What would your profession be if not acting?
I would be in sports, I always tell new people that don’t come in acting but go in sports, because people think acting has glamour and all, but I don’t agree on that, I’ve read a lot of books here and now I have a library at my home, and my mom says if you would have studied this much before you would have been a collector and my reply to her is I am an actor now.
