Ishita Vishwakarma is one of the contestants of the show. She is a singer, and her voice is loved by the judges and audiences for its soothing quality.
A couple of times, we have also seen how the judges break down after her performance as it touches their hearts.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Ishita and asked her about a lot of things. Read on.
In the future do you have aspirations to sing for Bollywood and if yes, then which singer and music director would you love to work with?
I feel all the singers and especially me, I have always worked on my voice and I have saved my voice as some other singers use their voice for show business or for any other work, but I was always keen and focused on playback singing and that was only my dream and everything else was secondary for me.
Yes, I have always had a dream of singing in Bollywood and it's a dream of my parents too. But if I had to say which music director I wanted to work with them, I would say that everyone is different from one another and I don’t want to limit myself. I wish to work with all music directors in the industry, I don’t want that one break and one song I would like to sing lifelong. I want to become a successful singer. But if I had to say a few names then it would be Sanjay Leela Bhansali, A. R. Rahman, or Ajay – Atul and I wish someday I get a chance to work with them.
If not you, then whom do you see as the winner of IGT and why?
I don’t win. I don't see anyone as the winner of the show because I don’t know if I should win or not because everyone who has come here is doing a lot of hard work. For a singer to win the show a lot of opportunities open you get recognized and a lot of stages open for us to sing.
But here it’s different, and if not me I would like Warrior Squad or Bomb Fire to win because they waited for so many years to participate in a show like India’s Got Talent and that’s why I feel they should be rewarded for their hard work and I would genuinely like to see such a hard-working contestants win the show.
How is the environment and camaraderie between contestants on the show and with which of the contestants are your friends?
The camaraderie that we contestants share is unreal, In my life, I have never seen the contestants living together under a roof and having no animosity between each other. If we speak about Demoloation group, Bomb fire, etc they also cheer during my performance. The environment on this show is very different from other reality shows and this is one thing I love about the show.
Plus, on the show, everyone is older than me that’s why they take me as their young sister, and if there is someone younger than me they call me Didi and they love me so much and I like the vibe on the show.
What is the message you have for your fans who are supporting you unconditionally and are voting for you so that you reach the finale and lift the trophy?
My fans are like my family because they give me so much love and support and I am seeing immense love and support coming through social media. When I receive this unconditional love it makes me feel happy and I really feel blessed. I want to thank all my fans for supporting me so much. My message to them would be that I would like to say a big thank you to them not only for supporting me in the show but also for voting for me unconditionally.
I would also like to thank them because we didn't know where our lives were going and we were in such a depressed state post papa’s death and what all was happening didn't know where life would take us. I am sure that my fans would support me and take me to the finale as they vote for me so much and send me so much love. I would love to thank them for their support.
Well, there is no doubt that Ishita Vishwakarma is one of the most talented contestants on the show, and she deserves to be in the finale.
