EXCLUSIVE! "It is more challenging to do an emotional scene than getting out of it" Ankit Narang on doing emotional scenes, his bond with Esha on screen and much more from StarPlus' Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana

I don't see my performances again. I am majorly concerned about the look, that's all that matters to me when it comes to checking upon something. So yes I am my own critique, I always crave doing better.
 Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana

MUMBAI: Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana has indeed made a place in everyone's hearts with its soulful story. The show replaced Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani on Star Plus. It is a love story about a tenant and a bahu of a house. She is pregnant and widowed.

Esha Kansara and Hasan Zaidi are playing the lead roles. We can see that it is a love story where two opposites meet. While Esha is the eternal optimist, Hasan's character is that of a pessimist. We have to see what happens when the two meet. The story looks like it will be a refreshing change with its concept.

In an intriguing conversation with Angad aka Ankit, we asked him questions regarding his character, emotional scenes and his bond with co-stars.

Tell us about your bond with your co-stars and Esha?

Everyone has a very deep friendship, with immense respect. There is mutual respect for each other. After Karan Bhai's death, Angad is the only person the family looks up to. He is matured but he is also fun-loving and mischievous at the same time. Angad and Amrita have a different relationship, it is more mature someone who would know everything without telling each other.

How difficult is it to get out of the emotional scene?

It is not that difficult to get out of it, it is tougher to get in the emotion of it. I have never felt this pain, I was fortunate that even in Covid times my family has been safe. We keep seeing the news and all that everyone has gone through but not on a personal level. But to do it realistically, to understand that pain, that takes time. It takes time to convince oneself to get into that pain. Once it's cut I am out of it. While reading the scripts I used to cry but it's not always the same while performing. I feel fortunate that I can switch on and off between the characters.

Do you watch your own performance again?

I think I am doing a great job and think I am doing the worse on the same day, when I perform after the director says Cut I know if I have done it good or bad. It is in my gut, sometimes when I know I haven't done a great scene, but people tell me it was a great one. I am the way I know when I have done right or wrong. I don't see my performances again. I am majorly concerned about the look, that's all that matters to me when it comes to checking upon something. So yes I am my own critique, I always crave doing better.
