MUMBAI: Shashi Sumeet has been the name behind numerous blockbuster shows, we recently saw Kyun Utthey Dil Chhod Aaye and Barrister Babu, currently with Meet the producers are entertaining the fans. The stellar Jodi Shagun Pandey and Ashi Singh are winning hearts. Shagun has been one of the most successful actors of Shashi Sumeet's clan, they were the ones who even found the gem Anchal Sahu. Now, the production is all set to bring Banni Chow Home Delivery on floors.
We rang the gorgeous diva Ulka Gupta aka Banni, and in an exclusive conversation we spoke about her accent for the character in the show, her attire and more, you would need a book to note her intriguing responses for sure:
How has it been working with Pravisht?
Pravisht and I as actors are very passionate about acting. It is always fun to do scenes together. Our characters are quite defined, we are both traumatized while Banni has moved on, while Pravisht is stuck in the trauma and mentally unstable. Banni develops a mother's love for him. Pravisht is doing such a strong character, it is so rare for men to take up such a character. He is somebody who lives as an actor first. He is a great choice for the role he is doing. All heroes just want to play a macho character but it takes such guts to play Yuhan.
What is your perception towards the character?
Banni cooks at home and this is something that the world is missing out. People say, women should go out of the kitchen but I feel cooking is a life skill applied to everybody irrespective of gender. Cooking is how you show love to people. I am so glad that the makers are coming up with a topic like this. Women are not supposed to look down upon if they are cooking. This is something that is regulating the positive ideology. It is really important for even the Papa ki Pari to learn this as a life skill. It is an act of self-love, sometimes my sister and I plan to bake. I am on a new diet, I cook my own meals, and I am not dependent on anybody.
How are we going to see Banni onscreen?
You will see Banni in the kitchen, fighting goons. She is one girl who cooks food and completes numerous deliveries of food. We are talking about a young entrepreneur. It promotes empowerment. I was offered many web series but the characters weren't that strong rather shady. But with Banni I am really glad I got an amazing character to portray.
