MUMBAI: Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul is a fantasy television series based on the Arabian Nights character Ali Baba. It is produced by Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez under Peninsula Pictures, it stars Sheezan Mohammed Khan, Tunisha Sharma, Karthik Jayaram and Sayantani Ghosh. It premiered in August 2022 on Sony SAB.
The series follows the life of an orphan Alibaba, from the Mamuli Gali of Kabul, and the challenges he faces while he tries to protect and take care of five other orphan children.
Mohit Abrol plays the role of Zoravar, Ali Baba’s rival, on the show. He is about to leave the show and recently shot his last scenes.
Mohit Abrol is known for being a part of various TV shows like: Balika Vadhu, Razia Sultan, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne, MTV Fanaah, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, Gangaa, Kavach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se, Going home(short film) and Porus.
He has also done episodes in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, and in Darr Sabko Lagta Hai. In 2017, he was seen in the web series Tanhaiyan as Siddharth. He went on to portray the role of Hasti in Sony TV's Porus.
The show Alibaba has been doing quite well and the audience love the track of it. The plot is quite different and people love that the makers are experimenting.
According to the latest plot, Dajjal leads the 40 thieves in an attack on the town of Parvaaz and Dajjal uses his thunderbolt magic to electrocute and mercilessly kill everyone. During this chaos, Alibaba’s children hide behind a fence to avoid Dajjal. Alibaba, on the other hand, is near an icy mountain, pleading with his father for a way to fight the thieves.
