MUMBAI: Zee TV has announced Rishton Ka Manjha, a show which will explore the intense love story of Diya and Arjun who, despite being players of the same sport, share very contrasting outlooks towards life.
Produced by Tent Cinema, based in Kolkata, the show revolves around Diya, (played by Aanchal Goswami) - a bright and chirpy middle-class Bengali girl who hopes to build a meaningful life for herself and support her middle-class family. No matter what curveball comes her way, she stays afloat saying “Kuch toh tod nikaal hi lenge”. On the other hand, Arjun, essayed by Krushal Ahuja, is a former Badminton champ who comes from an affluent Marwari business family. He has given up on life after a scandal jeopardizes his career and even his near and dear ones don’t support him through his most testing times!
How Diya shines the light of optimism and reinforces Arjun’s belief in her philosophy – “If all isn’t well, it isn’t the end” will form the crux of the show.
Speaking to the lead of the show Aanchal, in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, she said, “I am having fun shooting, and the schedule is hectic because it’s going on air and there is pressure. I love the character Diya that I am playing. The X factor about Diya’s character is that she is very positive, she doesn’t give up on things, and she focuses on finding the solution to the problem. My chemistry with Krushal is very good , because whenever we shoot the give and take comes naturally between us, and before our shots we decide the elements and advice each other to do like this or something like that which will make our scene good, and if I talk about bonding he is a very supportive co actor."
When asked about what made her give a nod to the show, Aanchal shared, "I wanted to do this show because I really like the storyline of the show and I went for the audition, and until and unless you don’t like the storyline you won’t be able to do audition , and at first Diya’s scene was with Bajrangbali and reading that script I wanted to do the show , I didn’t want anyone else to do it, I got to know the story about the badminton player and it was very nice and positive and I could connect myself to the character."
Way to go Aanchal! (Also Read: BREAKING: Mishmee Das, Manav Sachdev and Priyanka Nayan BAG Zee TV's Rishton Ka Manjha?)
